I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
